NIE T-SHIRT PAINTING WORKSHOP
T-Shirt Painting Workshop was held on 7th July, 2015 for the PACE members of Classes V-VI. The students got plain light coloured T.Shirts, paint brushes and fabric paint colours from home. The workshop was divided into four batches. They all enjoyed taking part in it and made beautiful designs on the T-shirts under the able guidance of the Resource Person Ms Sunaina from the Hindustan Times.

A Magic Show was conducted by NIE . It was quite entertaining, all the children liked the magic tricks performed by the magician Mr. Mahesh.He involved few students and two teachers to perform the tricks. Later on he taught some magic tricks to the students as well.On the whole it was very entertaining and enjoyable

Science Workshop

A Science Workshop was conducted in the school by Dr. Parashar.Various Science activities such as Separation of Mixtures, Reaction of Metal with Acids, Burning Suphur, Observing Hydra and Stomata using micrscope, Electromagnetism etc. were were conducted.

International Day for Mental Health

The workshop on 'Drug Free FAMILY:' Child Right 'organised by NADA India Foundation was the last of the series of workshops to generate 'peer counselors' for creating an environment of health and happiness around them. The workshop was a highly interactive session as the students shared their ideas, concerns and apprehensions on the increasing popularity of substance abuse among the youth and how it is gaining momentum in the present day social scenario.

Workshop on Fire and Security

The school organised a Fire and Security Workshop for the students of Class V to VIII in collaboration with Fire and Security Association of India. Workshop was conducted by Ms. Seema Bhandari. It was a Fire and Security Awareness Program to create awareness of safety measures in case of fire among children.

Skipping Skills shown by Rope Skipping Federation of Delhi

Skipping Skills were exhibited by a group of Children of National Level under the guidance of Mr. Vivek Kumar(Delhi State Coach) from the Rope Skipping Federation of Delhi. Students of Classes V-VIII saw the enigmatic display of rope skipping and got motivated to learn the art of skipping.

  Rakhi Making Competition

Rakhi Making Competitions was held for classes V-VIII. Four best rakhis from the whole class were selected by the Class Teacher. They were tied on the wrists of the Support Staff in lieu of Raksha Bandhan being celebrated as “Suraksha Diwas”. A special Assembly was held for the same.

 A Session on “Health and Nutrition”

A very interesting and interactive session on Nutrition and Health with Class VIII was taken up by two students from Lady Irwin College. They guided the students for healthy food habits, the intake pattern of processed/packed food. The gaps and barriers in accepting healthy food choices in children between age group of 13-15 years were also discussed.

   “Fire and Security Awareness Program”

Fire and Security Association of India conducted a workshop in the school premises to create awareness among children of Class VII. They learned to make future safe and secure against various fire hazards.

“Workshop on Media Advertisement through Animated Stories”

 Students in two groups(Class IV-VI) and Class(VII-IX) participated in GLOBAL MEDIA LITERACY PROJECT in which they created their    own script  and dialogues by evolving a story.

NIE Workshop for Member Students (Class V to VIII)  

Ms. Chiranjeet a resource person from Times of India conducted a workshop on “Thali and Envelop Decoration”. She taught the students to decorate Steel/Unbreakable thalis with Acrylic colors/ 3D outlines and Fevicryl paints. Students learnt a lot and appreciated the skills taught.
